Burner Resume: Squeezie
/Burner Handle: Squeezie
Defaultia Region of Origin: Dayton, Ohio
Years Burning/home burn: My first burn was 2017 and haven’t stopped bouncing between Mosaic and Lakes of Fire. More to come soon hopefully!
NSFW: My other name I go by is Roped Kitty… You’ll find me hanging around once in a while.
Years of Servitude, ahem, volunteering: Since I started and won’t stop now!
Lead Role: Gate Lead
Why: Why… not? I like being that person that screams at you to slow down. In seriousness, it is the first position I ever volunteered for and promptly fell in love with it. I thrive off order and seeing people’s excitement.
Why does your dept matter? Welcome to the burn! Now, did you actually purchase a ticket? Want a pretty bracelet stating that? Cool! I’m not saying we track your every move, but we do track you. Mwhahaha.
Why does volunteering improve your burn/make you happy/work for you? It just does. I love being able to help when I can. It’s extremely satisfying and calming.
Why should someone consider volunteering for you? Because I’m really a big softy and just want to make sure you have some fun while working. Oh, and if you like order and seeing peeps be excited, that might be a good reason as well.
What's your favorite volunteer story? A participant having a car towed to Mosaic. Yups, that happened. I will never forget this! OOOoh, or when a volunteer showed me when he set his hair on fire during Hamlet.
What's your choice nugget of wisdom for a virgin? “It might be a wild ride, but it’ll be one hell of a ride.” Someone told me that at my first burn.
What's your best burner skill: Being on time! What’s this burner time thing? I need to learn it.
What's your drink of choice? In this order… Coffee then Old Fashion.
What keeps you sane in Defaultia? Running my own business and practicing aerial skills. I want to say my son Char-Char, but he’s his own insanity of love.
Why do you love burning? It’s a no holds barred to be myself without judgement. It’s a breath of fresh air.
Which principle is primary for you and why? Participation. I strive to participate as much as I can and that is a really hard task at times. Getting out of my own comfort zone is generally pushed by participating.
What do you want to be when you grow up? Whacky and happy where people tell me to act my age.
